More on Technology..

VWISP is building accurate funtional models of biological neurons using silicon gates. By accurately emulating the function of the neuron and its synapses we produce a hierarchy of artificial neurons that function exactly like a brain. The first component that used this technology was the NeoCortex1 chip, now superceded by the NeoCortex2

The brain is an amazing organ. We can instantly recognize people, music and patterns. We now know that the brain accomplishes these amazing feats through massive temporal event processing in neurons. The vWISP processor works in exactly the same way. It consists of dynamic neurons organized in a hierarchy of hierarchies. Each hierarchy is a mini-column which is sequentially triggered, and substantiated by event inputs. Events trigger data contained in synapses, the data itself derived from the temporal parameters of previous events.

This represents a paradigm shift in computing theory. Imagine a computer that works like the brain. How will that change our world?

VWISP patent on their neural processing device, titled "Autonomous Learning Dynamic Artificial Neural Computing device and Brain Inspired System" has been granted. Peter vanderMade, CTO of vWISP and largely reponsible for the development of this new chip said "I foresee a future where truly intelligent devices make life easier, rather than more complex for people. This chip is a major step in that direction"
